Program

  • 12:00 pm - Meet up and lunch in Battersea
  • We will meet up for lunch at Gordon Ramsay’s Street Pizza to try out the famous chef's bottomless pizzas and salads. The restaurant is located in Battersea's funky restaurant strip just underneath the bridge and a few steps away from the waterfront.

Address: Circus West Village, 2 Arches Lane, London SW11 8AB. Lunch includes a set menu with a main course and dessert.
  • 1:30 pm - Guided tour of Battersea Power Station
  • At its peak, Battersea Power Station was supplying a fifth of London's electricity. After decades of sitting derelict, it is now open to the public as one of London's most exciting and innovative new destinations. We will get a private tour of the area by Sam Eastwood, Centre Director, and James Cooper, Head of Operations and Risk.

Tour will start outside the Battersea Bookshop. Any luggage can be stored at Centre Management Office if needed.
  • 3:30 pm - Free time to explore Battersea
  • During the afternoon you are free to explore the area on your own. NCSC will meet up with the group at Center Management Office at 4.30 pm for public transportation to the Hoxton Southwark Hotel, but you are of course free to make your own way to your chosen hotel at any time.

Cost for public transportation is not included in the program. The easiest way to pay your underground fare is by using a wireless credit card.
  • 5:00 pm - Check in at the Hoxton Southwark Hotel (or your choice of hotel)
  • Southwark is one of London's most culturally-rich neighborhoods, full of galleries, great eateries and boutiques. TATE Modern, Borough Market, the London Eye and the banks of the River Thames are just a few steps away. NCSC is recommending staying at the Hoxton Southwark and has negotiated a discounted rate of £239 per room, but you are of course welcome to choose any hotel in the area.

Hotel reservations have only been made for those who have requested it in the registration form. Payment upon check-out, breakfast not included.
  • 6:00 pm - Welcome drink and dinner at The Apartment at Hoxton Southwark Hotel
  • 9:15 am - Introduction to Londons Retail Scene
  • We will gather in the lobby for public transfer to 10 Bloomsbury Way in Holborn where we will get an introduction to London's latest retail concepts by Jack Stratten at Insider Trends. As Head of Trends, Jack has provided insights and strategic support for some of the biggest retailers on the planet, from NIKE to Walmart, Microsoft, Nespresso, and Coca-Cola.
  • 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Retail Safari
  • On our retail safari we will explore new innovations and get an insight into how progressive brands are responding to the changing consumer landscape. The Safari will be led by Jack Stratten and senior trend consultant and award-winning editor and journalist Emily Seares. The tour will cover shops in Covent Garden, Soho, Carnaby Street and Oxford Street and we will stop for lunch at the Mercato Mayfair on our way.

NCSC will arrange for transfer of luggage from the hotel to the Retail Safari end-point, Ocean Outdoors Head office at 25 Argyll Street (right next to Oxford Street Tube Station). Lunch is not included in the price.
