New Chair of the Board, NCSC
Jussi Vyyryläinen steps down as Chair of the Board of NCSC. Annika Schönefeld, Head of Real Estate at Elgiganten, was elected Acting Chair at an Extraordinary Board Meeting held today, 15 January 2026.

Jussi Vyyryläinen has decided to step down as Chair of the Board of NCSC as he has left the industry.
The NCSC Nomination Committee has proposed Annika Schönefeld as acting chair until the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 1, when a new chair will be elected by the meeting. The NCSC Board approved the Nomination Committee’s proposal at today’s extraordinary board meeting.
Jussi Vyyryläinen has been a committed and valued member of NCSC throughout his career. He was elected to the board in 2015 and appointed Chair in 2022. During his time on the Board, and especially as Chair, he has been instrumental in the organization’s development and strategic direction.
Jussi has been an incredible support and extremely important to NCSC. His personality, commitment, knowledge, and experience have been crucial to the development of the association. Jussi always stands firm and acts with determination — he is the very definition of sisu.

Annika Schönefeld has been an active and highly valued member of the board since 2017 and was elected Country Head of nomination committee Sweden in 2024. She brings deep industry knowledge and extensive experience from her previous role at ICA Fastigheter, as well as from her current position as Head of Real Estate at Elgiganten.
Annika is a strong voice in the industry, with extensive experience from both the landlord and tenant sides. Her commitment and positive attitude will be a valuable asset in her role as Acting Chair.
