About Urban Escape
Since opening in 1976, Gallerian has developed into an iconic shopping destination in the heart of Stockholm City. A reconstruction begun in 2014, which includes five buildings, two squares, two international lifestyle hotels and a shopping center, to form what is now called Urban Escape. Further, IKEA choose to open its first city department store here in June 2022. The vision is to create a more vibrant city block with offices, hotels, shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and other meeting places.

Therefore, how successful different tenants are at generating value for their own businesses, and to create collective mall experiences and revenues at the lowest possible risk, is key. Han-Suck Song will present a data-driven analytical framework that support important questions that mall owners and investors face. Johan von Schreeb is one of the founders of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Sweden and has over 20 years of experience in leading efforts in disasters around the world. He has worked during Ebola outbreaks, wars, natural disasters, the covid-19 pandemic and was recently asked to coordinate international aid efforts in Ukraine on behalf of the WHO. He will share his experiences of leading medical efforts in chaos and disasters.
