Center Facts Norway

This report has been made for the Nordic Council of Shopping Centers (NCSC), and is the result of a cooperation between Andhøyregistrene AS, Kvarud Analyse and NCSC. The contents of the report are mainly based on extracts from Andhøy’s Shopping center register. The selection consists of shopping centers with a registered gross leasing area (GLA) of more than 4,999 square meters and five or more stores (i.e. major centers).

In this report, a shopping center is defined as a building, or a collection of buildings, which is planned, developed, owned and operated as a single unit. The individual functions/businesses are gathered in one building or grouped around a pedestrian area or an open square. There is often a separate office for sale and marketing of the center’s services.
